Mason Jar Candles

I’m a candles kinda girl. Candles lit, music on and a vase full of flowers in every room is how I roll. The mason jar Pinterest movement hit hard during the time of our walima and when wedding festivities were over I knew I could find a way to repurpose them. Here is a little story on how to reutilize mason jars to make a super chic candle that will impeccably set the ambience.

What you’ll need:

  • A mason jar (I’m using the ones from my walima)
  • An unused 1.7oz mini candle
  • A candle lighter

Directions:

  • Make sure the inside of the mason jar is clean and dry. Pop in your mini candle, center it and light it.

They melt into the bottom of the mason jar. You can still light them and they will burn for hours. I think they’re prettier that way.

Below are some pictures of the décor from our reception in Boston.
